Homemade Recipe for Baileys
Baileys was the first liquor of this type (cream) in Ireland marketed and industrialized, since 1974 has been alive in the liquor market, now have come out several brands of the same type in Ireland.
Servings: 1 litre
In a blender, serve cream, condensed milk, Irish whisky, instant coffee, chocolate syrup, and vanilla essence.
Mix at high speed for 40 seconds.
Store in an airtight bottle in the refrigerator.
Shake well before serving.
The Baileys is the exact emulsion to mix whiskey and cream, it was so precise that the ingredients are not separated. That is why they were allowed to be marketed.
This Irish cream is manufactured in Dublin by the company R. A. Bailey & Cia, although the brand belongs to DIAGEO today. It is a sweet liqueur with a high alcohol content but soft on the palate. Its main base is Irish whiskey and cream.
A curiosity of the brand is that it uses 4% of the country's milk production, the cream used by Baileys is from Avonmore Waterford Plc, a company located 100km from Dublin and are responsible for managing the quality control of the dairy product. In a way, Baileys is a "green" product in that no preservatives are used in the drink, manufacturers agree that whiskey acts in the interest of preserving it.
